Sasha’s Story

The happy story of young Hawksbill

Sasha is a young Hawksbill turtle that came into our rehabilitation centre tangled in discarded fishing nets. This video tells her story.

Hawksbill Turtles like Sasha are considered a critically endangered species. Each one that we are able to save makes a real difference to the future of this species.

To help us continue to save all the species of turtles that we encounter in Kenyan waters, as well as to continue our linked community outreach and conservation education programmes, please consider donating to our current fundraising campaign. We desperately need your help to keep our project going so if you can help by donating even the price of a cup of coffee we would be extremely grateful. Click here to donate online.

Alternatively, you can donate by M-PESA to +254 717 578 723 or contact us via email at info@watamuturtles.com to arrange donations via bank transfer or cheque.
